Commentary on Watermillock location to local services

Glenridding had been my first choice and Pooley Bridge had been my second choice due they were easy walk to pubs and food shops and cafes.
They both declined hire due many weekend Craft Fairs scheduled and other mid-week bookings not visible.

Watermillock V-H is two miles from three pubs and two food shops and one cafe in Pooley Bridge.

On A592 nearby the "Brackenrigg Inn" reopened with beer inside, Wainrights and Tirril, but no footpaths so safe transport needs consideration.

Penrith has rail station, 508 bus, many supermarkets with beers and three petrol stations.

If driving at Rheged Discovery Centre A66/A592 roundabout there are some shops and one petrol station.

So you will likely have to plan ahead more for food shops and beer.

If you drive from England South-East or EU going around M25 London

This year 2024 the M25 circular motorway around London has had major roadworks causing full closure across sets of two junctions. Diversions along side roads have been in place.  Deviation from the approved diversion routes will likely result your vehicle is significantly fined money due hostile London ULEZ zone within the M25. Consider select a route drive the other way around the M25 circular motorway avoiding these road works.

Check here for updates https://nationalhighways.co.uk/
If you drive up the M25 East side remember there is a Toll at Dartford Crossing at https://www.gov.uk/pay-dartford-crossing-charge .
The approx £3 pay ahead online with Automatic Number Plate Recognition is a lot cheaper than a ULEZ fine.
